Here are a few pictures of what the 4x4 "Beast" looked like upon delivery from Texas. I took delivery of this spectacle on January 1st, 2002. Original modifications done to this car include: The mounting of the DeLorean body/frame on a late 70's Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4x4 chassis, the use of a front Chevrolet 350 V8 Engine, sending power to the wheels from a Chevrolet 350 Turbo Transmission, all sitting on 15x10 6-lug aluminum wheels sporting BF Goodrich 33x12.50x15 tires.

Determined to make this DeLorean look and perform as well as it should, I decided an intensive, but yet quick refurbishing was needed. Upon arrival, work began immediately at a 4x4 specialty shop called Godmudders, located near Chicago. The goals set were to raise the suspension another foot or so, repair the engine for reliability, and improve on the looks of the "beast." These pictures show the fiberglass being repaired, some body panels swapped out with repaired ones, and the added lift to the truck.

The third week of work has been focused on beginning to put together the "beast" using the repaired and new manufactured pieces to customize the car. I have come up with the official name for this creation as well, it will now be known as D REX. By next week, all the panels will be in place, fascias should be fitted, new rims and tires on, as well as newly recovered seats installed.
